- Multiple clues will be given for each location via Facebook and Twitter.
- NO CHEATING – If we suspect that you are not participating fairly, NO SOUP FOR YOU!
- The first 2-3 people to find us at each location will receive a radical prize from one of our sponsors, everyone that finds us will receive a raffle ticket to win the Blichmann Boilermaker.

April Fools Shenanigans
April 1, 2010
So today, April 1st, we set out to fool some of our online friends with a “Big Give-Away” We had a lot of fun all day long and got to meet some of the folks we regularly interact with on the world wide web.
We started out the day by giving away a legitimate prize, a free stainless steel weldless ball valve for the first person to come in the store and ask for it.
Dave was the winner, and a good sport. Thanks for participating, Dave!
A little while after that we posted to give away 2 cases of overrun bottles and those went out the door within a half hour. People started catching on to the fact that you can get free stuff when you pay attention to the Steinbart Facebook and Twitter.
Brian won the bottles, he frequents our store and has been following us on Twitter since we started our Social Media department.
The next step in the prak was to build the excitement for the grand prize give-away. We told folks there would be a huge grand prize given away later in the day and that they needed to watch for the announcement. We later announced that the secret code for unlocking the loot was the words “ninja assassin” with that finally posted online it took a mere 35 minutes before someone came in the store shouting about ninja assassins. It was pretty hilarious, you should have seen it.
Adam was our grand prize winner, he also won the pound of hops that we offered up yesterday. His grand prize for shouting “ninja assassin”? He won a T-Cork and a “happy April Fools Day” from the staff. You can tell by the disappointed look on his face that our prank was a success. After having our fun and Adam being such a good sport, we sent him on his way with a $30 gift card.
We have the best customers, you guys are the reason we are here and why we do what we do. Thanks for your continued support.

You Never Know…
April 1, 2010
One thing I love about working here at F.H. Steinbart Co. is the way we interact with our customers. The day to day folks that come in to the store and chat with us about their brewing projects. In the past few months we have been using Facebook and Twitter to keep in better contact with some of our customers. This has been a lot of fun, and as a thank you for supporting our endeavors to engage the cyberscape of the 21st century, we have been giving away a bunch of free stuff. So far we have given away two lbs. of hops and a 5 gallon carboy to random internet followers.
This guy’s name is Adam, he was the recipient of a pound of hops yesterday, simply because he is our friend on Facebook. It certainly pays to follow because you never know when we might drop some more free stuff *cough* later today *cough, cough*
Thanks for your support, interweb brewers and friends, stay tuned for more.
The Parting of the Brown Sea
March 16, 2010
Last week we had an unfortunate accident in our warehouse. A 600lb. drum of malt extract fell off of a delivery truck and crashed onto the floor, spilling about 400lbs. of light malt extract on the ground.
It took Jeremy, Will and John about 4 hours to clean up the mess. We thought you guys would at least get a kick out of this “behind-the-scenes” insanity.
