Scientists at Oregon State University have discovered that Xanthohumol, a substance found in hops contains many interesting properties. Some of these properties seems to increase cognitive abilities, as well as extend the life span of test subjects. Seems like the rats are getting the better end of this deal, but it still gives us hope that beer will change the world, and we’re still finding out how and why. So be a good lab rat, and go out to your nearest pub, or better yet, brew your own science experiment, and see what results you get. We could always use more researchers working on beer science!
